"As a department of the RMIT Student Union it represents and advocates on behalf of postgraduate students. It also produces ‘The Postgrad’ - the newsletter of the RPA to which students can contribute and have their work published.

The RPA also organises social activities for RMIT Postgraduate Students to check out more of Melbourne and the surrounding areas. Last semester we went on a day tour down south, checked out a cattle farm which also had Kangaroos and wombats, visited a Koala Sanctuary, and saw the Little Penguins on parade and toured around Phillip Island! We have also had social nights out in Melbourne and offered cheap tickets to the AFL.We had a wonderfuly Postgrad dinner party this semester

If you have any ideas for events or social outing for Semester 1, 2009 that you would like to organise and have funded by the RPA, please email the Postgrad Officer ali.khan@rmit.edu.au . We are planning for okaraoke nights, thesis/research seminars and when the weather warms up, maybe even a Camping trip to Mount Buller! "
